Well known among connoisseurs of Norcia truffles with the vulgar appellation of “Scorzone”, it is distinguished by some characteristics among which the color of the flesh, which is typically a yellow / hazel color, the peridium is always very warty and black in color, but the difference with the prized black truffle is precisely its maturation period, which is not the winter one, but the summer period from which the name derives.
